Agroforestry education in Zambia

This proceedings summaries the deliberations of 20 educators, research, and development workers at a workshop held in Ndola, Zambia. The theme of the workshop was "Agroforestry Education in Zambia". The overall objective of the workshop was to produce an action plan for agroforestry education at technical colleges and universities in Zambia for the five-year period 1994-1998. To achieve that objective an inventory of forestry education at Zambian institutions was made and the opportunities and constraints to the teaching of agroforestry were identified. Secondly linkages between education and the extension/research systems were identified and analysed.
