Shortly after the national workshop in October 2005 at the NongLam University, we learnt with great sadness that Mr. NguyenVan So, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Forestry, suddenly passedaway. His long term commitment to agroforestry in Vietnam, hissense for collaboration across disciplines, cultures andnationalities as well as deep knowledge of the realities offarmers and agroforesters earned him great respect among theresearch and development community in Vietnam. Hisinspiration is reflected in colleges and universities throughoutVietnam as he achieved to make agroforestry a respected partof curricula and teaching materials. We dedicate this Array ofField Methods to his lasting memory.
