No new Board Members were elected in 1984. The Programme of Work proposal for 1984 was adopted with minor revisions at the Annual Board Meeting in March. The most important decision was to appoint an independent, external panel to carry out a review of ICR AF's performance and to give advice on future programme directions. Anad hoc Board Committee was appointed to make an in-depth review of ICR AF's staff policies with recommendations to be presented to the 1985 Board Meeting. Finally, the Board endorsed the Director's proposal to go ahead with the planning and fund-searching for an ICRAF HQ building.
