Fruits and nuts: species with potential for Tanzania

Fruit roduction a major form of horticulture, involves intensive land-use system with high value output per unit of land area and high input of labour. Therefore, developing fruit production becomes more and more relevant when the human population grows and arable land becomes increasingly scarce. These are good reasons for promoting both fruit production and fruit processing in tanzania as well as in many other parts of Africa.
