Specific objectives were: to determine the practices, trees planted, proportion of adopters and the main factors influencing adoption. The study was descriptive and exploratory in nature where structured questionnaires, informal interviews and focused group discussions were used to collected relevant information from therespondents. Random sampling procedure was employed in which a total of 136 household heads from 6 villages in 3 divisions having 2 main ethnic groups were selected. ";
