This note is written to serve as background and reference material for some of the data management courses, developed by icraf. The note covers only the software currently used within ICRAF as a standard for data management, analysis and the writing of reports: Office 2000 and Genstat for windows 5 release 4.2.; and also explores some of features of Adaptec Easy CD Creator 4, Adeptic Direct CD 3.0 and WinZip 8.0. Similar procedures are available in other software.
