Following are brief protocols for each of the examples referred to in the training coursenotes and practicals. Each protocol refers to the Excel data file that contains the data . The Exceldata files are included on the CD.The protocols have been provided solely for the purpose of describing the data, so that asensible statistical analysis can be done. They are not a complete record of the trial, and onlydescribe the details that are needed for the analysis of the data provided. The data files have been provided to give realistic examples for use in training. They arenot complete sets of data from the trials. In a few cases some details may have been altered inorder to make a training point. Therefore the results of the analysis should be used to understandstatistical methods, but not to reach conclusions about agroforestry practices.
