Soil conservation in Eritrea: some case studies

Soil erosion is a serious problem in Eritrea especially on sloping crop lands. This has led to the decline of soil fertility and agricultural productivity. In 1998 a survey of various selected sites representing different land use systems in the country was conducted. The information gathered was reviews and discussed at a workshop Summaries of the case studies and the results of the workshop are presented in this technical report
