Acacia angustissima: a central American tree that's going places.

A brief note on the origin and distribution of Acacia angustissima is followed by a description of its morphology and its possible use as a source of fodder and of soil nutrients. Research activities in Zimbabwe related to its multipurpose, beneficial utilization are briefly considered. It is indicated that this Central American tree shows enormous promise for improving soil fertility and livestock quality in the subhumid tropics.
