Soil mapping of Vo Nhai district was classified by the soil classification system of the FAOUNESCO, which included 4 soil groups with 10 land units: the alluvial soil group (Fluvisols - FL) has a land unit with the area is 1816 ha, accounting for 2.15% of total land area; the blacked soil group (Luvisols - LV) has a land unit with the area is 935 ha, accounting for 1.11% of total land area; the gray soil group (Acrisols - AC) has 6 land units with the area is 63,917.7 ha, accounting for 75.63% of total land area; the red soil group (Ferralsols - FR) has two land units with the area is 6300.4 ha, accounting for 7.46% of total land area. Soil map of Vo Nhai district are oriented establishments to offer appropriately land use for each land unit that using of advantages as well as troubleshoot limitations of each land unit, and propose the suitable solution in the soil reform
