This is a guide designed for use by experts in agroforestry. The origin, distribution, botanical description, uses, climatic and edaphic growth conditons, multiplication, planting, cultural practices, productivity, the ocurrence of pests and diseases mixed growing with other crops or in combination with pastures, and the results obtained in the Dominican Republic with 14 timber species are recorded. These species include Eucalyptus torelliana, Swietenia spp, Cordia alliodora, Casuarina montana, Cedrela odorata and Acrocarpus fraxinifolius.
