Strategy to ensure sufficient supply of tree propagative material for agroforestry development

This paper discusses a strategy and activities for various participants which if implemented would secure the supply of tree propagative material to good farmers who are the final back stoppers in agroforestry. The historical and present conduct of some major stake holders in the field of germplasm provision in Kenya in analysed and their strengths and weakness are assessed The strategy suggests a privatisation of seed collection and supply of agroforesstry species.
