Addressing climate change issues is viewed not only causing additional economic burdens, but also a critical factor in determining the country’s survival as a nation. The impact on the agriculture and forestry sectors and on the water and land resources burdens the country, which is already dealing with a host of socio-economic and environmental problems. To address climate change issues, the role of forests in sequestering carbon is one of the land-based opportunities to undertake mitigation measures.
