Seeking 'Rewards' for Conserving Biodiversity in Traditional Rubber Agroforest

Biodiversity conservation is also possible in managed agroforests such as traditional rubber agroforests in Jambi, Indonesia. However, conservation should be linked to local livelihoods and household benefits. RUPES-Bungo project is an on-going joint action-research initiative of ICRAF-WARSI-YGB that aims to provide “reward” to farmers for managing their traditional rubber agroforests that support rich biodiversity and habitat conservation.
