An IFAD Mission undertook a supervision of the Rewarding the Upland Poor for Environmental Services (RUPES) project from 12 to 21 November 2006. The project is financed by an IFAD grant (TAG-534) and is being implemented by the World Agroforestry Centre (ICRAF). The mission visited one of the RUPES pilot sites in the Philippines (Bakun), met with the teams responsible for implementing RUPES in that country. The mission then spent some time at the project headquarters at Bogor where it had discussions with RUPES and ICRAF staff.
