The Philippine Eagle ( Pithecophaga jefferyi ) is a critically endangered area-demanding species and listed in the IUCN Red List. They either regularly move betw een sites or naturally occur at low population densities during part or all of their life cycle s such that it is difficult to safeguard sites of adequate size. Conse rvation of key biodiversity ar eas (KBAs) is insufficient for th is threatened species, which requir e landscape-scale conservation measures beyond the protecti on of the KBAs where they occur. Under the collaborative project o f Conservation International ( CI) and World Agroforestry Cent re (ICRAF), a method is being developed for identifying landsc ape level conservation targets, and tested this with the ar ea-demanding Philippine Eagle
