The East Africa Dairy Development Project (EADD) has been supporting Volunteer Farmer Trainers (VFTs) through training, exchange tours, provision of seeds and training materials however the project is soon phasing out its activities in Kenya and therefore support for the VFTs is no longer guaranteed. To facilitate smooth transition and continuity of the VFTs’ training activities after the exit of EADD in Kenya, three independent workshops were held in three pre-selected POs in North and South Rift Valley regions of Kenya. The workshops aimed to identify ways in which the POs can integrate the VFT approach in their structure. The workshops provided insights to this process by obtaining views from different dairy stakeholders.
