“Agroforestry for livelihood of smallholder farmer in Northwest, Viet Nam” project has been established since 2012. To improve the performance of smallholder farming systems through agroforestry and technical packages, there are 4 special objectives: 1) Develop best-practice agroforestry systems and for three agro-ecological zones; 2) Improve the availability of high-quality germplasm to enable the expansion of agroforestry systems; 3) Enhance market access and value-adding opportunities for agroforestry products; 4) Improve extension methods and policy dialogues for successful dissemination of agroforestry systems. This publication contains information that is gained through objective 2 activities. Extension material also belongs to objective 4 and compiled in order to support farmers and local extension workers.
