Achieving ecosystem sustainability in Agro-pastoral systems calls for a multi-stakeholder process that enable the linking of local level initiatives, with district, national and regional support structures. Facilitating this process calls for an innovative action –research process. In linking the farmer field school with the Landcare approach, a robust process is envisaged geared towards a sustainable community led landscape level conservation and livelihoods objective.
