Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) haveemerged as the main tool for defining, communicatingand potentially reporting party contributions to theParis Agreement on climate change. Agroforestryhas been identified as a key part of most developingcountry NDCs, hence it is a potentially importantcontributor to global climate objectives. This policybrief seeks to explore the degree to which agroforestryis represented in current NDC ambitions, how itsapplication is envisaged and how its contributioncould be enhanced.
