Goraka (Garcenia quesita Pierre) of the family Clusiaceae is a small to medium sized multipurpose endemic tree species. It is naturally found in the lowland tropical rainforests in Sri Lanka. Goraka has been used in Sri Lanka from time immemorial for curinary and medicinal purposes.
