There are many different types of fruit trees grown in different areas in this country. Deciduous or temperate fruits (peaches, apples, plums) are found growing in the colder parts of the country. Tropical and subtropical fruits (mangoes, avocado pears, lemons, oranges, bananas) are grown in the warmer parts of the country. The success of growing any fruit crops in any one area will depend on a number of factors described in the following section.
