With the title of this conference being "World Agroforestry and the future" it is obviously a bit of a handicap talking about things that are now 20 years past-people will anxiously wait for the "real contents" of the meeting to begin. Still, in the history of an organization you can often get guidance for the future, and what better opportunity than a 25th anniversary is there to recall some of the early ideas and goals that formed ICRAF.
