ComMODO: Permainan strategi kelola lahan untuk keberlanjutan ekosistem

This role-playing game provides insight into how local communities interact among themselves and with other actors and how these interactions influence decisions on their lands, livelihoods and ecosystem services. It enables the players to simulate on factors such as labor, finance, and share perspectives on pertinent topics and issues.
CIFOR research resource persons, Heru Komarudin and Dr. Nur Hasanah Mufti describe how this game has been a useful for promoting dialogues and fostering collective actions that lead to a better quality of decisions.
This game has been developed as part of Oil Palm Adaptive Landscapes (OPAL) research project, and has been played with community groups and local government officers in several villages in Kutai Kartanegara district, East Kalimantan province.
