CIFOR–ICRAF publishes over 750 publications every year on agroforestry, forests and climate change, landscape restoration, rights, forest policy and much more – in multiple languages.

CIFOR–ICRAF addresses local challenges and opportunities while providing solutions to global problems for forests, landscapes, people and the planet.

We deliver actionable evidence and solutions to transform how land is used and how food is produced: conserving and restoring ecosystems, responding to the global climate, malnutrition, biodiversity and desertification crises. In short, improving people’s lives.

Industry leaders

ndustry plays an important role in the sustainable management of forests in the Asia-Pacific region. Opportunities abound for industry both in the sustainable use of forest resources, and for investments in forest conservation and restoration. A range of industry-led initiatives are seizing these opportunities in the Asia-Pacific. This session discussed current initiatives by the private sector, the different business cases for conservation and restoration, how to monitor and report on progress and opportunities, and challenges to scaling-up these initiatives.
