Bushmeat

Open-air restaurants in Amazonian Colombia are a popular destination for weekend family outings. Some restaurant owners buy bushmeat from local hunters and will serve deer, boruga (Agouti paca), peccary or other meat if it is available and if diners ask. The trade fluctuates, as police sometimes raid the restaurants in search of bushmeat, making the owners wary of buying more for a time
