Cora van Oosten is a Human Geographer with 30 years of international experience in natural resources management, landscape approaches, governance, capacity development and education. She held leadership positions in project management, implementation and research in Kenya, Burkina Faso, Ghana, Bolivia, Cambodia, and the Netherlands. At present, Cora is appointed as Head of Capacity Development & Education at CIFOR-ICRAF, to strengthen its science-in-practice profile and further develop its track record on systemic capacity development. Cora believes in the power of local people, communities, and countries to develop their own pathways to thrive. She also believes in the ability to strengthen these capacities, through our research outcomes, and our support to informal and formal education.She is building a team across CIFOR-ICRAF projects and geographies to support our projects and partners with offline, online, and blended learning design, and practical learning support services on demand.
