CIFOR–ICRAF publishes over 750 publications every year on agroforestry, forests and climate change, landscape restoration, rights, forest policy and much more – in multiple languages.

CIFOR–ICRAF addresses local challenges and opportunities while providing solutions to global problems for forests, landscapes, people and the planet.

We deliver actionable evidence and solutions to transform how land is used and how food is produced: conserving and restoring ecosystems, responding to the global climate, malnutrition, biodiversity and desertification crises. In short, improving people’s lives.

World Water Week 2023

Seeds of change: Innovative solutions for a water-wise world

What ideas and innovations will we need in a more unstable, water-scarce world? How can water be a tool to address problems like climate change, poverty, and biodiversity loss? World Water Week 2023 sets out to tackle these questions under the theme, Seeds of Change: Innovative Solutions for a Water-Wise World.

Faced with an unprecedented water crisis, all sectors of society must change how they manage water. Done right, this should usher in an era of innovation that leads to more resilient societies and thriving economies. But to achieve this, we need not only technological solutions but behavioural change, a new relationship with nature, and better governance.

World Water Week 2023 will also follow up on commitments, not least after the recent UN 2023 Water Conference, and offer an arena for collaboration so that water can help us build a more sustainable future for all.
