CIFOR–ICRAF publishes over 750 publications every year on agroforestry, forests and climate change, landscape restoration, rights, forest policy and much more – in multiple languages.

CIFOR–ICRAF addresses local challenges and opportunities while providing solutions to global problems for forests, landscapes, people and the planet.

We deliver actionable evidence and solutions to transform how land is used and how food is produced: conserving and restoring ecosystems, responding to the global climate, malnutrition, biodiversity and desertification crises. In short, improving people’s lives.

INACRAFT, International Craft Exhibition 2024

We are excited to announce that the Livelihoods Enhancement through Community-Based Conservation of Bornean Orangutan and Habitat project, led by CIFOR-ICRAF in collaboration with Yayasan Riak Bumi and with support from the Darwin Initiative, will be participating for the second time in INACRAFT 2024, one of Indonesia’s most prestigious international craft exhibition.

Mark your calendars for 2-6 October 2024, and visit our booth at Cendrawasih Hall No. 77, JCC Jakarta.

At our booth, we will showcase the exquisite Sidan and other traditional motif fabrics, handwoven using natural dyes by the Dayak Iban women of Kapuas Hulu, West Kalimantan. Rooted in traditional belief systems, these unique communities actively support the protection of orangutans and the preservation of their natural habitat. Each motif tells a story passed down through generations, embodying rich cultural heritage and the spirit of conservation.

Come and experience the beauty of biodiversity-enriched traditional artistry and show your support for these communities.

We look forward to seeing you there!
