Landscape Partnership Asia - an Introduction
Landscape Partnership Asia is a partnership between Asian Forest Cooperation Organization (AFoCO), The Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR) and World Agroforestry (ICRAF), IUCN and the Global EverGreening Alliance. It’s a targeted initiative to restore drylands and support national and international goals on sustainable development. Across 14 countries - Bhutan, Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Lao PDR, Mongolia, Myanmar, Philippines, Republic of Korea, Thailand, Timor-Leste, and Viet Nam, the partnership aims to bring an initial 10 million hectares of dryland and drought prone areas under management by 2032 across Central, East, South and Southeast Asia. The partnership works with national and local governments on policy dialogue, implementation, capacity-development, scaling up, advocacy, and tracking the Partnership’s contribution to national restoration achievements.
