on is a Senior Strategic Advisor of RECOFTC. He has been working in the community-based natural resource management sector since the 1980s. Before becoming an advisor, Ron was RECOFTC’s Unit Head for capacity development and technical services where he managed over 40 research and capacity development projects and programs at regional and national levels. He has extensive experience in promoting local people’s knowledge and customary rights. His work has ensured sustainable natural resource management and fair distribution of benefits through participatory approaches. With his professional background in participatory processes, forestry extension, and community-based climate change adaptation and mitigation, Ron is one of the most experienced facilitators in the field. His vast experience in community-led and integrated landscape management allowed him to work on several projects across the Asia and the Pacific, all the way to Eastern Africa.
