Dr. Arturo Esclamado Pasa obtained his BSc Forestry at the then Visayas State College of Agriculture (now VSU) and graduated cum laude in 1992, Master’s and Doctoral Degrees from the University of the Philippines Los Baños in 1998 and 2007, respectively. He passed the Professional Foresters Board Examination and landed in seventh place in 1993. He has been involved in local, national and international forestry research and extension programs from PCAARRD, ICRAF, ACIAR, among others and attended training, conferences, and scientific meetings in various countries.
He served as project coordinator of ACIAR ASEM Projects for more than ten years. He has more than 50 scientific and technical papers in forestry and allied fields published in reputable scientific journals. He received a number of awards including the Presidential Lingkod Bayan Award from the Civil Service Commission and President Rodrigo R. Duterte (group category). He is now full professor in Watershed Management and Environmental Forestry at the Department of Forest Science, VSU.
