Afdillah is the current Ocean Campaign Team Leader at Greenpeace Indonesia, where he leads efforts to protect marine ecosystems and promote sustainable ocean practices. With a strong background in social activism, Afdillah has dedicated his career to issues of migration, family planning, and environmental sustainability.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Universitas Andalas, Padang (2004), and a Master of Science degree from Universitas Papua, Manokwari (2019). Afdillah’s professional journey began in 2001 when he became an activist with the Perkumpulan Keluarga Berencana Indonesia (PKBI) in West Sumatra, a role he held until 2012. From 2012 to 2019, he worked as an Engagement Officer at the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Manokwari, West Papua, focusing on migration and humanitarian issues.
