Fatima Aliyu Magaji is an environmentalist and certified climate champion. She is the founder of the environmental initiative, FAM4FUTURE. Through this platform, she consistently leverages collaborations and partnerships to champion environmental sustainability initiatives in Nigeria. She utilises her platforms to advocate for responsible consumption and production and stronger environmental laws. Her interests lie in addressing the issue of plastic pollution and advancing the circular economy. She also follows international policy processes related to climate change and global environmental governance.
In 2022, she was selected as one of two young people who represented Nigeria at the first edition of the Pan African Agency for the Great Green Wall’s “Green Youth Caravan” joining participants from other Great Green Wall member states to travel a distance of 3000kms from Senegal to Mauritania, and Mali to learn about combating desertification, drought and land degradation within a local context. She served as a youth champion for the National Agency for the Great Green Wall in 2023.
