Accounts and Administration Officer


Overview


The Accounts and Administration Officer will support effective projects implementation by ensuring accurate financial transactions, administrative coordination, and compliance with organizational and donor requirements. He/she will contribute to smooth daily operations and efficient resource management.

Duties and responsibilities


1.       Finance

  • Provides customer service: Receive, control and prepare payment requests from field staff
  • Manage the office petty cash
  • Register transactions in the operations soft systems
  • Monitor staff’s advance accounts
  • Assist Projects implementation Lead in building and managing projects budget
  • Compiles and record properly Project budget data and documents based on expenses
  • Prepares period or cost statements or reports for the Finance Country Senior Officer
  • Provide accurate information / data during project Audits
  • Maintains good relations within the team and solves problems. 

2.       Office Management

  • Oversee and coordinate daily office operations to ensure efficiency.
  • Provide front desk and general administrative support.
  • Manage office correspondence
  • Lead office supply procurement and inventory control processes.
  • Implement and maintain effective physical and digital filing systems.
  • Manage schedules for funding programs, key deadlines, and report preparation.
  • Supervise the office driver and cleaner to ensure smooth facility operations.
  • Coordinate the planning and logistics of meetings, workshops, and training.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Accounting, Economics, Finance or equivalent discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years' working experience in a similar position with at least 1 years’ experience in Project Accounts within an international organization
  • Sound knowledge of accounts operations in the framework of project
  • Computer proficiency in using accountings tools and software.



Education, knowledge and experience

•Minimum 3 years' working experience in a similar position with at least 1 years’ experience in Project Accounts within an international organization

Terms and conditions


•This is a Locally Recruited Staff (LRS) position. CIFOR?ICRAF offers competitive remuneration in local currency, commensurate with skills and experience.
•The appointment will be for 12 months, inclusive of a three?month probation period, with the possibility of extension contingent upon performance, continued relevance of the position and available resources.
•The duty station will be in Korhogo, Côte d'Ivoire.
