CIFOR–ICRAF publishes over 750 publications every year on agroforestry, forests and climate change, landscape restoration, rights, forest policy and much more – in multiple languages.

CIFOR–ICRAF addresses local challenges and opportunities while providing solutions to global problems for forests, landscapes, people and the planet.

We deliver actionable evidence and solutions to transform how land is used and how food is produced: conserving and restoring ecosystems, responding to the global climate, malnutrition, biodiversity and desertification crises. In short, improving people’s lives.

Achille Biwolé

Achille Biwole is a researcher at the University of Douala in Cameroon and also a RESSAC post-doctoral fellow at Gembloux Agro-Bio Tech, University of Liège in Belgium. His research focuses on the ecology and silviculture of timber species harvested in the Central Africa region. As part of the RESSAC programme, he is implementing the project titled Growth Dynamics and Ecology of Seedlings of the Main Commercial Species in Production Forests in Cameroon. The aim of this project is to document, for ten or so timber species, the key aspects that can ensure the success of their silviculture: light requirements for seedling growth in plantations, seedling parasitism, seed conservation methods, and survival and growth performance in plantations.
