Dave has led the engineering and data management work at Stats4SD since the company was founded in 2016. He builds web platforms, designs databases, and manages cloud infrastructure to help with the broad challenges of turning data into useful information, and how people can actually access and interact with data in a timely way. He uses a variety of tools and languages but has a strong preference for open-source systems. He has a keen interest in how people interact with technology and understands that an engineering solution is never the full answer to any complex problem.
