Collecti ve action in natural resource management is a key feature of smallholder farmer systems. However, most studies on technology adoption for the smallholder farmers are more inclined to use the household as a unit in their research. In reality, problems faced by smallholder farmers are crosscutting in scope, and require the cooperation of various stakeholders.
